In-Airport Self Collection Locker at Changi Airport, Terminal 2 Departure Hall

Singapore, 21 April 2025 – Panasonic Connect Asia today announced the successful deployment of an In-Airport Self-Collection Locker Trial at Changi Airport, Terminal 2 Departure Hall, which began operation in February 2025.

About the Locker Trial

In October 2024, an “In-Airport Self-Collection Locker” trial project conducted by Changi Airport Group was awarded to Panasonic Connect Asia; a system which included design, development, installation, and maintenance. The locker trial started operation as planned in February 2025.

Customers can now collect their orders before their flight with the integration of both a passport reader and QR code technology into the Self-Collection Locker

Locker Management System

The locker is comprised of the company’s locker management system, which allows booking of lockers, and streamlining of storage and collection processes. Additionally, the system is integrated with a passport reader and QR code technology for seamless passport and boarding pass authentication. Through this technology and system, Panasonic Connect Asia aims to contribute to innovation and advancements, enhancing the travel experience at Changi Airport.

Highlights of the Trial

iShopChangi, Changi Airport’s official online shopping platform, provides travelers with a seamless and convenient shopping experience. Through the trial of the In-Airport Self Collection Locker, customers can enjoy the flexibility to collect their orders at any time. Travelers can easily retrieve their online purchases from accessible lockers. Once an order is deposited, the Locker Management System will notify customers via SMS or email when their items are ready for collection, offering them the convenience of picking up their orders at their preferred time.
